She's back.... and I'm crushing hard on the new Nighwind eyeshadow palette by CHICK.Cosmetics but will she take supreme over its predecessor?
Introducing the second wave of the infamous Nightwind palette. The OG palette was my personal holy grail creating memorable and winning looks. (My @beautysquadsa first place look was mastered using the highly pigmented shadows.) So you will forgive me if I do have high expectations.
At first glance, you can already notice significant differences between the palettes. The new palette is packaged in a sleek black gloss cardboard flip with magnetic closure framing a freshly designed branding in gold foil. There is a major size difference in not only the complete palette but also each shadow pans. The original palette boasting with 18 oversized shadows crammed next to each other where the new design is evenly spaced with accompanying shade names. Although both house the same amount of shadows they are not all the same. On the first swatch, you can feel the formulation has improved as it is buttery soft to the touch and glides. The original offered 10 mattes and 8 soft metallic shadows whereas the new edition has 5 matte and 13 shimmers with 10 completely new shades that oddly looks very familiar to the Huda Beauty Obsessions palettes. The shimmer formulation glides on with an instant almost foil finish whereas the matte applies with instant colour payoff but loses its intensity with wear.
With all these changes and modifications the Nightwind kept one thing the exact same, the price, at only R350 there is no denying that this is a winner!
